Burleigh Heads RSL Sub Branch held a small unveiling service at the memorial park for a Peacekeepers/peacemakers plaque, Mr Paul Spooner a member of the Burleigh Heads sub branch has been the driving force behind the plaque being erected at the Cenotaph and had the honor of unveiling it on Remembrance Day prior the the 11 am service.
It’s 102 years since the armistice that put an end to hostilities on the Western Front.Remembrance Day was commemorated at the Burleigh Heads RSL hall today, a small but moving ceremony to honour those who gave their life in service to our nation. Members and invited guest than enjoyed a light luncheon and refestments.
